CMPD recently joined more than 50 federal, state and local agencies for a large-scale emergency response training at Carowinds Amusement Park. The exercise, part of the Charlotte Region Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), focused on strengthening interagency coordination and preparedness for complex incidents.
The three-day event featured simulated scenarios involving law enforcement, fire, EMS, hospitals and social services. CMPD personnel worked alongside partners including the FBI, U.S. Army, MEDIC and neighboring police and fire departments from North and South Carolina.
