Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Testing Event

CMPD will be conducting applicant testing at the U.S. Army National Guard Armory in Easley, SC. 

Location:   107 Rockmont Road, Easley, SC 29640
Date:   Thursday, January 8, 2026
Testing Times:   Session 1: 9:30 AM; Session 2: 1:00 PM

This event is open to individuals interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement with CMPD. All applicants must bring a valid state-issued driver’s license to participate in the testing process. Each session will include a written and physical test. Applicants need only attend one of these testing sessions. 

• Arrival Time: Arrive 15 minutes early for your session. Late arrivals may not be allowed to test.
• Identification: Bring your Driver’s License as your ID.
• Personal Items: Personal items such as backpacks, food, drinks, cell phones, purses, and wallets are not allowed inside. Water bottles are permitted. Items must be left in your vehicle.
• Weapons: No weapons of any kind are allowed inside the facility, including concealed weapons.
• Rescheduling: You can cancel or reschedule your session up to 2 hours beforehand via this task. For emergencies, contact 704-432-1602 or email Ms. Debra Simpson at debra.simpson@cmpd.org.
• Dress Code: Wear conservative gym or athletic attire. Changing facilities are not available. Long pants (e.g., sweatpants, athletic pants, or BDU’s) are required for the JRPAT. Shorts are not allowed.
