CMPD’s all-new team of 15 civilian crash investigators supports the department’s response to non-injury crashes. By documenting these crashes and assisting with traffic control, this new investigative team will free up sworn officers to focus on higher-priority incidents and enhance the department’s ability to serve the Charlotte community.
